Who am I?
My name is Steven Temple. Originally from Middlesboro, KY where I graduated high school and competed in football, baseball, cross country, and threw shot-put for the track team. I am happily married to my best friend, Crystal, whom is the mother of our two beautiful children. We also have been blessed to raise one of our nephew's. We are not fancy or sophisticated people. We enjoy the simple things of life and country living. We realize that in this life that we live, if we don't have Jesus, then we don't have anything. We are a God first family. We rely on Him to take care of all of our needs. We are truly thankful for His blessings on us.
My Background
After high school, I went off to play football for Campbellsville University. I remained there for one season before being given the opportunity to step up and play Division I football at Eastern Kentucky University. At Eastern, I began a long, dark road of self destruction that led to heavy drinking and partying. It was by the grace of God that I was able to live during this time. After two and a half years, the Lord placed conviction on my heart and transplanted me back to my hometown. It was here, back in Middlesboro, that the Lord began to deal with me constantly and draw me unto repentance. I had accepted Him as my Lord and Savior in high school but was drawn away by the lusts of the flesh.
The Lord brought me to a place where all that I had was Him. He brought me to this place to tear me down, to show me that life was not worth living without Him as my guide and my refuge. I gave my heart and life back to Him and was baptized. A few short years later, He began to deal with me once again. He had begin to call me into the ministry. I was confounded, confused, and didn't have the slightest idea about being a preacher. I had not grown up in church and this was all new and scary to me. Time past and I tried to ignore the call to preach. I fought it in every direction that I could. I turned back to alcohol to try to rid myself of the calling. For nearly 10 years I tried to deny the calling that the Lord had placed in my life. Miserable, hateful, depressed, sorrowful, lonely, and unsatisfied is the life that I led.
My Call
Along this time is when I met my wife. She had been in church most of her life and knew way more than I ever had. She convinced me to go to church with her one night. That night, I surrendered my all to the Lord. I preached my first sermon shortly after announcing to the pastor the call on my life. The Lord blessed me greatly. The church appointed me Assistant Pastor and within the year I was called to become the Pastor. I have pastored two churches in my tenure as a minister. Pastoring was difficult and rewarding at the same time. However, I wasn't completely satisfied with just pastoring. I continued to pray and ask the Lord what He would have me to do. This is when the Lord spoke to me and directed me to evangelize and do a street preaching ministry. It is in this call that I remain to this day. A lot of people question which denomination I am of. They ask if I am a baptist preacher, a pentecostal preacher, a methodist preacher, a holiness preacher, or whatever. Well, the only way that I can describe it is that I am a BIBLE preacher. I do not preach along any particular denomination, I preach the Bible, I preach Jesus, I preach the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. I believe every word the bible says!
Our Church
We have a wonderful church and church family that are extremely supportive of our ministries. Soul's Harbor Church is our home church and our pastor is Anthony Browning. We love our church and when we are not in the field you will find us here laboring with our brothers and sisters in the Lord. We help in all areas of the church from teaching Sunday School to preaching what the Lord has laid on our heart. We believe the church is a place of refuge for the lost, a place of hope for the hopeless, a place of refueling for the saints, a place of learning, and a place of growing. We believe our church is great church and welcome you all to visit with us or if you are searching for a church to become rooted in, come join us. We would love to have you and believe you will truly feel Gods love toward you through each and every one of us.

You will also find on the Facebook page, announcements and flyers to when and where you can join us for worship outside the church.
Our outreach also consist of street ministry in multiple cities and states within the tri-state area of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia. The Lord has really been moving as we have had over 50 persons, just this summer of 2015, give their lives to Jesus. We also offer free clothing and food give aways through the street ministry. Never before have I found a greater feeling than preaching Jesus to a lost and dying world. So many people will gather on the streets, parking lots, wherever to hear the Word of God that normally would not entertain the church. Its through this that we find our true calling in the ministry.
The Lord continues to open doors for me and I am looking forward to the future with Him. I would love to come minister at your church, youth program, or wherever the Lord would lead. Contact today to set up a time and date. If you have prayer requests or needs, please use the links to submit to us. Use the contact us link to send us a note of encouragement or offer a word of prayer for our ministries. May God richly and greatly bless each and every one of you. God Bless........Steven
